Requirements
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical systems found in buildings, including single-phase and three-phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding, and life safety systems.
  • Knowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems, including the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, and Energy Conservation Codes.
  • Knowledge of technical and design software for short-circuit coordination, arc-flash studies, equipment sizing, and lighting calculations.
  • Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Skilled at using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, along with organizational skills for file management.
  • Skilled in performing code analysis, including selection of equipment and wiring to meet code requirements.
  • Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to leverage artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace.
  • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form with technical and non-technical information.

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accredited institution, with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
  • A minimum of three years of electrical engineering experience.
Responsibilities
  • Perform intermediate to advanced engineering work as directed.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks under a senior engineer's supervision.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced computations and analysis for electrical systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids.
  • Review and write basic sequences of operations.
  • Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports of findings.
  • Collect data and other information for construction documents.
  • Prepare project design and construction documents.
  • Perform basic editing and writing of project specifications.
  • Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals.
  • Review and respond to requests for information.
  • Review and complete punch lists and project close-out documents.
  • Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain shop-drawing and requests-for-information logs.
  • Manage personal hours using company tools.
  • Complete assigned tasks and deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, high-quality work output.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and demonstrate continuous learning by seeking new technologies, skills, and methods that elevate individual and team performance.
  • Adapt to emerging technologies and evolving digital workflows, actively supporting the integration and adoption of innovative tools across the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
