Huawei launches 3 + 1 AI Data Platform, lifting AI inference throughput 2.2x in Europe summit

Huawei launched what it calls the industry's first "3 + 1 AI Data Platform Solution" at its Data Storage Summit in Florence, Italy, on October 20, 2026. The platform combines a knowledge base, key-value (KV) cache store, memory bank, and Unified Cache Manager (UCM) for AI inference. Yuan Yuan, president of Huawei's Data Storage Product Line, said AI has entered a stage in which data is the key to success. The solution is already used in more than 20 key service scenarios. A leading hospital raised adoption of AI-assisted diagnosis reports from 50% to 90%. A major internet company improved inference throughput by a factor of 2.2, and a large bank lifted customer satisfaction by 16%. Huawei plans to open the platform to more models and applications.

Huawei launches upgraded Stellar Intelligent Fabric for Europe's open data centre networks

Huawei has launched an upgraded Stellar Intelligent Fabric for the European market, unveiling it at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 Europe in Florence, Italy, on October 19, 2026. The company says the data center network solution offers better intelligence, performance, and reliability. Huawei also introduced the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric, which is powered by StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0. Johnny Cheng, vice president of Huawei's Data Center Network Domain, said it removes single points of failure and protects critical workloads. Turkish IT firm KoçSistem used the technology to deploy a multi-DC topology. Mesut ÖZCA, a leader solutions manager there, said multi-plane networking keeps compute services online during localised hardware failures. Huawei says it will deepen partnerships across Europe under its "In Europe, For Europe" commitment.

Huawei and industry groups publish 10 Gbps intelligent campus network white paper in Europe

Huawei and global industry organizations have released a technical and standard white paper for high-quality 10 Gbps intelligent campus networks. The launch took place at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 in Florence, Italy, on October 19, 2026. The paper targets public services, education, healthcare, and manufacturing. It sets out six core capabilities: autonomous network, 10 Gbps ultra-broadband, connected everything, deterministic experience, energy saving, and full-scope security. Huawei also launched an upgraded Stellar Intelligent Campus Network Solution. It uses Wi-Fi 7 Advanced to double network performance, offers quantum-safe encrypted channels, and cuts mean time to repair by 90%. Huawei plans to work with European partners to apply the paper's concepts across more campus scenarios.

Huawei's OceanStor M900 targets AI inference memory bottleneck with 64PB shared KV cache

Huawei has launched OceanStor M900 Context Memory Storage, a platform built to ease the memory bottleneck in AI inference. It unveiled the product at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai for hyperscale datacentres and its Ascend SuperPoD infrastructure. The system extends the key-value (KV) cache, which stores data so models can reuse earlier computations, beyond accelerator and system memory into a shared, multi-tier storage pool. Using Huawei's UnifiedBus interconnect, it shares KV cache across a cluster, with claimed capacity of up to 64PB. Huawei says processors can reach cached data in a single hop, cutting latency to 60 microseconds. It claims this could double token throughput and halve time to first token in typical AI coding workloads. The company also claims endurance of up to 24 drive writes per day, 16 times that of conventional SSDs.

CTM and Huawei build intelligent, built-in network security for Macao's AI era

CTM and Huawei are working to build more secure, intelligent networks in Macao, CTM said in a keynote at Network X 2026 in Vienna. Hudson Lou, head of network services and development at CTM, said the carrier wants to move from simple connectivity pipes to intelligent, deterministic, and secure infrastructure. CTM is adding AI broadband network gateway (BNG) capabilities to steer traffic to the best paths, improve user experience, and cut international bandwidth costs. CTM argues that security should be built into the network rather than sit at its edge. It outlined three areas: device-level behaviour analytics, security services that carriers can provision within days, and quantum-safe planning. On the last, CTM and Huawei developed a target IP architecture that combines quantum key distribution (QKD) with communication networks. They say it will also lower operations and maintenance costs.
