What critics are saying

  • Fiserv, Microsoft, and ERP partners can bundle similar automation and compress Stuut's margins.

  • If enterprise AI agents miss payments or mishandle disputes, customers revert to humans immediately.

What makes Stuut unique

  • Stuut automates end-to-end receivables, not dashboards, across collections, cash application, disputes.
  • It plugs into SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Dynamics 365 without rip-and-replace.
  • Fiserv and Microsoft endorsements validate Stuut's enterprise wedge and procurement distribution.

AI fintech Stuut raises $52.5M to expand order-to-cash automation.

AI fintech Stuut raises $52.5M to expand order-to-cash automation. New York-based fintech Stuut has raised $52.5 million in Series B funding to expand its AI-driven order-to-cash platform, targeting one of the least visible but financially important problems inside large companies. The round is led by Insight Partners, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), M12, Microsoft's venture fund, and Activant Capital, according to Stuut's October 7 announcement. The company says the new financing takes its total funding to $93 million. Stuut says more than 150 companies now use its software, including Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 businesses, and that more than $3 billion in payments has moved through the platform. It also reports that customers are freeing up to 40% more cash flow and reducing days sales outstanding, or DSO, by 47%. Those performance figures come from Stuut and should not be treated as independently audited industry benchmarks. "Most businesses don't have the bandwidth to segment their base or give customers the level of service they deserve," said Tarek Alaruri, CEO of Stuut. "By leveraging AI, we're able to deliver one of the leading solutions with continuous learning loops to improve the customer experience, reduce churn, improve NPS, and deliver better financial performance." About Stuut, and How Stuut's AI agents work. Stuut was founded in New York in 2024. Tarek Alaruri and Ben Winter founded the company; earlier financing coverage also identified Miraj Mohsin as a co-founder, while Stuut's current leadership page identifies Alaruri and Winter as its founders. Alaruri previously co-founded the procurement technology company Fairmarkit. Stuut's origin story is closely tied to the observation that many overdue invoices are not simply cases of customers refusing to pay. A missing purchase-order number, incorrect billing information, shipment problem or a payment routed through the wrong portal can create a chain of administrative work that delays collection. Stuut's platform connects to an enterprise's existing ERP, banking, CRM and payment systems. The company lists integrations with major enterprise platforms including SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Once connected, the software can work across several stages of the O2C process. Collections: The collections agent contacts customers about unpaid invoices. Stuut says it can identify billing contacts and communicate through email, SMS and voice, including outreach before an invoice becomes overdue. Cash application: Cash application is the process of matching money received in a company's bank account to the appropriate open invoices in its accounting system. This can become complicated when the payment does not contain clean remittance information, when a customer pays multiple invoices together or when a payment spans multiple legal entities or currencies. Stuut says its system automatically matches incoming payments and reports a 95% automated cash-application match rate. Its product documentation says the system can process different payment formats and match transactions across entities, currencies and organizational hierarchies. Disputes and deductions: This is where the O2C problem becomes more complicated. A customer may deliberately withhold part of a payment because a shipment was incomplete, goods were damaged, a promotional allowance applies or freight charges are being disputed. Stuut says its system investigates disputes and deductions, checks supporting information and can categorize and resolve routine cases. Its product documentation describes workflows involving proof of delivery, return records, contracts and customer-provided reason codes. The company says its system can create a credit memo for qualifying deductions and leave negotiations and more difficult judgement calls with finance staff. That division between automation and judgement is important because financial operations have consequences beyond efficiency. A wrong deduction decision can become a customer dispute or an accounting problem. Payments: Stuut also provides payment functionality, including click-to-pay options and processing of incoming payments, according to its product materials. That relationship is important because Stuut's long-term strategy is moving closer to the actual movement of money rather than stopping at receivables software. Order management: Stuut is moving further upstream into order management. That is a much larger part of the enterprise workflow. Stuut lists credit as a coming capability. Stuut's funding history is unusually compressed. In November 2024, a Securities and Exchange Commission filing showed an initial $5.91 million private funding round. Startup databases and employment listings also report the company's early seed funding at around $6 million to $7 million. That early capital came as Stuut was building its first accounts-receivable automation product. In November 2025, the company announced a $29.5 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Activant Capital, Khosla Ventures, 1984.vc, Page One Ventures, Vesey Ventures, Carya Venture Partners and Valley Ventures. a16z's Seema Amble and Activant's Steve Sarracino joined the board as part of that financing. The Series A supported expansion of Stuut's autonomous accounts-receivable platform across collections, payments, cash application, deductions, credits and disputes. The move from roughly $6 million in early capital to $29.5 million Series A and then today's announced $52.5 million Series B is a rapid progression for a company founded only in 2024. Stuut's announcement says the company has raised $52.5 million in Series B funding and that total funding is now $93 million. However, a September 16 SEC Form D filing from Stuut reports a $67,597,673 Rule 506(b) equity offering to 11 investors, with the first sale dated September 3, 2026. Several private-company databases classify that $67.6 million filing as Stuut's Series B. CB Insights, for example, currently lists a $67.59 million Series B dated September 15 and total funding of about $103 million. Stuut says the funding will be used to respond to customer demand, deepen coverage of the order-to-cash process and expand into credit, lending and money movement. Its existing customer base includes large organizations such as Honeywell, ZoomInfo, Verifone and PerkinElmer, as well as midmarket businesses. The company is also building partnerships with financial and professional-services companies, including Fiserv and EY, while its Microsoft relationship gives it another enterprise distribution channel. Stuut raises $52.5M from Insight Partners and a16z to let AI agents chase enterprises' unpaid invoices.

Stuut raises $52.5M from Insight Partners and a16z to let AI agents chase enterprises' unpaid invoices. October 7, 2026 * Stuut raised a $52.5M Series B led by Insight Partners, with Andreessen Horowitz and M12. * The round comes 10 months after a $29.5M Series A and lifts total funding to $93M, it says. * Stuut says customers cut days sales outstanding by 47%, a self-reported figure. Stuut has raised $52.5 million in Series B funding to helpq enterprises unlock cash trapped in slow and inefficient order-to-cash processes. The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and M12, Microsoft's venture fund. It was closed in just 24 hours, bringing Stuut's total funding to $93 million only 10 months after its Series A. A missing purchase order looks like a clerical slip. At a large company, it can set off a rejected invoice, a portal submission, and then a short payment or deduction, with finance staff tracing each step by hand. New York-based Stuut builds AI agents that follow that chain instead, and the startup has raised $52.5 million in Series B funding to put them in front of more enterprises. Insight Partners led the round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and M12, Microsoft's venture fund. It comes 10 months after Stuut's $29.5 million Series A, led by Andreessen Horowitz in November 2025, and is about 1.8 times that round's size. "Most businesses don't have the bandwidth to segment their base or give customers the level of service they deserve. By leveraging AI, we're able to deliver the only solution with continuous learning loops to improve the customer experience, reduce churn, improve NPS, and deliver better financial performance," said Tarek Alaruri, Stuut's CEO. The pitch rests on a large number. Stuut says businesses worldwide have $16 trillion locked up in unpaid receivables, and that finance teams are thinning out as the work grows: it says more than 300,000 accountants have left the profession since 2019. A neighbouring market is already big. The Business Research Company estimates that accounts receivable financing, which means lending against unpaid invoices rather than collecting them, was worth $164.06 billion in 2025, will reach $182.63 billion in 2026, and will hit $277.68 billion by 2030. How Stuut's agents get invoices paid. The startup, founded in 2024, works by joining order management, credit, collections, cash application, payments, disputes, and deductions into one workflow. Its agents contact customers by SMS, email, and phone, log in to customers' accounts payable portals, reconcile incoming cash, and decide the next step while keeping the context of earlier conversations. Stuut says 81.7% of its outbound collections activity now runs without human involvement, and 95% of incoming payments are matched automatically. Alaruri co-founded and was chief operating officer of procurement software company Fairmarkit before starting Stuut with Ben Winter and Miraj Mohsin. Stuut says it plugs into enterprise resource planning systems, the software large companies use to run their finance, as well as bank accounts, customer relationship management tools, and payment systems, and goes live in days. Every action is auditable, any change in behaviour needs approval, and finance teams can ask the platform what it did and why. The company is open about the lock-in. It says every interaction makes it harder to replace, because it builds a living memory of how each customer pays, which portals it uses, and what breaks. The competition. Stuut is not alone. New York-based Lunos, founded by Duncan Barrigan, a former chief product officer at GoCardless, raised a $5 million pre-seed round co-led by General Catalyst and Cherry Ventures in September 2025. Paris-based Cleavr raised €1 million in pre-seed funding led by Kima Ventures in March 2026 and, according to data it supplied, says its customers cut DSO by 37% and lifted cash flow by 40%. Fazeshiftraised a $17 million Series A led by F-Prime in May 2026, taking its total to $22 million. London-based Round, which automates treasury, payments, and payroll rather than collections, raised a $6 million seed round in April 2026. On October 6, Germany's Procuros raised €20 million led by XAnge to let AI agents automate global B2B trade. Stuut's backers have made this invetment before. Insight Partners, which says it has invested in more than 900 companies and seen over 55 portfolio companies reach an IPO, also led Xelix's $160 million Series B for AI that automates accounts payable, the payables mirror image of Stuut's pitch. Andreessen Horowitz, which led Stuut's Series A, also backed Valon, which is bringing AI agents to the mortgage market. M12's investment was first disclosed on September 2, 2026, when Stuut announced a listing on Microsoft Marketplace and acceptance into the Microsoft for Startups Pegasus Program. Earlier backers include Khosla Ventures, Activant Capital, 1984 Ventures, and Page One Ventures. "Many enterprises have more cash tied up in receivables than they realize. A single invoice error can trigger weeks of follow-up across teams and systems, and at scale that adds up to real revenue left on the table," said Julian Marcu, vice president at Insight Partners and a board member at Stuut. Stuut puts total funding at $93 million. Rounds it has disclosed add up to about $88 million, counting a $5.9 million seed, the Series A, and this round, and it did not say what accounts for the difference. The company will use the new money to meet what it calls overwhelming customer demand and to push into the financial infrastructure around each transaction, from credit and lending to the movement of funds. Its stated goal is to carry a sale from the moment a company decides to make it, through every decision, document, and payment, until the cash is in the bank. The real question is whether finance chiefs will let software decide if a short payment is a valid claim, rather than just send the reminder. Fivefold customer growth suggests many already will. The proof will have to come from numbers that someone other than Stuut has checked.

Stuut raises $52.5M to automate invoice collections with AI

Stuut, an AI-powered platform that automates invoice collections and accounts receivable work, has raised $52.5 million in Series B funding led by Insight Partners, CEO Tarek Alaruri told Axios. The platform addresses a persistent business challenge: companies continue to depend on employees and outsourcers to resolve routine invoice errors, which delays cash flow until problems are identified and corrected. The funding will support Stuut's efforts to automate these manual processes, helping businesses accelerate payment collection and reduce administrative overhead in their accounts receivable operations.
