Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience at a company where generative or agentic artificial intelligence is central to the product.
  • Experience leading teams that have shipped agentic systems to production.
  • Ability to evaluate retrieval quality, evaluation, observability, and agent design at a detailed technical level.
  • Experience running an engineering team, including managing direct reports and developing people.
  • Experience achieving results through product managers, domain experts, and other teams.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams at pace and making effective prioritization decisions.
  • Located within Central European Time plus or minus two hours.
Responsibilities
  • Hire, mentor, and raise the engineering team's standards.
  • Set engineering standards for artificial intelligence work, including evaluation, testing, observability, and delivery practices.
  • Own delivery at startup pace while preserving the accuracy required by lawyers.
  • Own the technical roadmap, including architecture, agent frameworks, retrieval, evaluation, and observability.
  • Partner with product on technical feasibility, scope, and cost.
  • Track developments in generative and agentic artificial intelligence and turn them into technical decisions.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence into real product workflows with design and engineering teams.
  • Improve artificial intelligence capability across the business.
  • Explain artificial intelligence clearly to engineers, the chief executive officer, and other non-specialists.
Desired Qualifications
  • Formal background in artificial intelligence or machine learning.
  • Experience taking a product from non-artificial-intelligence-native to artificial-intelligence-native.
  • Familiarity with LangGraph, MCP, LangSmith, or Langfuse.
  • Experience in legal technology or other regulated domains.
