Responsibilities
  • Drive academic achievement and growth by deepening the expertise of teachers and modeling through coaching instructional power moves to foster learning environments with high quality daily instruction
  • Spend the majority of time on instructional leadership and teacher development (approximately 70%), with the remaining time supporting student and staff culture in collaboration with Deans of Students, Grade Level Chairs, and Department Chairs
  • Co-direct middle school math tutoring scope and curriculum implementation; observe math tutoring sessions and provide constructive feedback; analyze assessment data to identify math gaps and track intervention effectiveness
  • Lead and monitor instruction through measuring state and standardized tests (NJSLA) and internal assessments (i-Ready, end of unit tests, quizzes, quarterly assessments, midterms, finals) and use data to set direction and adjust school-wide instructional strategy
  • Oversee Talent Management by building, developing, and holding accountable a high-performing teaching team
  • Establish robust data systems to analyze, respond to, and monitor student progress and drive continuous improvement
  • Design and ensure execution of high-impact professional development aligned to instructional goals and results in observable improvements in teacher practice and student learning
  • Drive school culture by creating proactive culture systems that foster a safe, joyful, and high-expectations environment for all scholars
  • Engage families and community stakeholders as partners in school goals and build strong partnerships with families through consistent communication and meaningful engagement opportunities about progress in STEM classes and curriculum
  • Coordinate planning and execution of state and internal assessments in collaboration with Operations and Academic teams
  • Implement and refine intervention programs to accelerate reading proficiency aligned with curriculum standards and measurable student growth
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership
  • A state issued license as a teacher, supervisor, or principal
