Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, or relevant coursework in geographic information science with 15 or more years of applicable experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of GIS software and technology (GeoMedia, DCS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, etc.)
  • Adept in a variety of GIS concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine)
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/PostGIS)
  • Experience with web services (e.g. WFS, WMS, WCS)
  • Top Secret Security Clearance – (must maintain mandatory training compliance)
Responsibilities
  • Participate in design and implementation of cartographic automation workflows
  • Independently perform cartographic tasks associated with one or more GIS concepts; imagery analysis, geospatial map production and the evaluation and use of GIS data.
  • Recommend appropriate GIS strategy in response to GIS analysis results.
  • Deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of workflow support files
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain application software and system management tools in both factory and customer environments
  • Monitor and test application performance for bottlenecks, identify solutions and work with developers to implement fixes
  • Provide end user support
