Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 5 years of experience as an industrial machinery operator is required.
- Mathematical skills are required to perform basic calculations.
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
- Must be able to stand for 12 hours, walk frequently, climb stairs, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds during the shift.
- Must be able to work in a hot environment and tolerate exposure to high temperatures.
- Must be willing to undergo a drug screening and criminal background check upon hiring.
Responsibilities
- Complete operator training, help update operator training, and help train others.
- Maintain working knowledge of the sequential control logic that controls line operation.
- Start up machinery.
- Coordinate and perform maintenance and rework functions.
- Prepare data-entry reports using computers.
- Know quality standards and perform and document quality checks.
- Perform routine maintenance procedures.
- Complete the necessary steps for size and product changes.
- Safely perform the appropriate procedure to clear jams on all equipment.
- Clean the work area and help others clean their areas when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as directed by management.
- Continuously follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Read machinery temperatures and pressures and perform machinery maintenance on a multilayer plastics/nonwoven-fabric production line.
Desired Qualifications
- An associate degree or certificate from a technical institution or trade school is preferred.
