EXEC: Kästle creates advisory board, appoints Scott Mellin as chairman. October 7, 2026 Austrian ski brand Kästle has appointed Scott Mellin, Salomon's former global chief brand officer, as chairman of a newly created advisory board, called KAB. ConsilTech, the owner of Kästle created the KAB to oversee the strategy, governance and performance of the brand. Mellin brings three decades of brand-building, product innovation, and cultural marketing expertise from "some of the most iconic names in outdoor and performance sport," including The North Face and Salomon. Texting your order, drone deliveries: DoorDash unveils major platform updates.

Texting your order, drone deliveries: DoorDash unveils major platform updates. Posted: Sep 30, 2026 / 11:51 AM PDT Updated: Sep 30, 2026 / 12:51 PM PDT DoorDash announced major updates across its platform Wednesday, including pilot deliveries for its drone delivery service and a new feature that allows users to text in orders instead of using the app. Drone deliveries. The new service, known as DoorDash Air, will run on top of DoorDash's delivery network. On Wednesday, the company announced that pilot drone deliveries will begin in Northern California in partnership with national restaurant brands, including Chipotle Mexican Grill and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, along with mom-and-pop shops. DoorDash said about 80% of its typical restaurant orders are light and small enough for its aircraft to carry safely. Its Autonomous Delivery Platform will also use smart routing, incorporating factors like weather, flight range, and ground traffic to narrow down further which orders make sense to send by air. In June, the company announced it had received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration to operate commercial drone deliveries in the United States. Skip the app and text your order. Beginning Wednesday, users can order by text message. Here's how it works. * Text what you're craving * Skip the search: DoorDash searches local restaurants, scans menus and suggests a cart based on what you're in the mood for. It can also text photos of recommended food directly from a restaurant's DoorDash page. * Truly personalized ordering: Text "order my usual" and the system can recognize past orders, including modifications and preferences. DoorDash says the feature becomes more personalized over time. * Manage group preferences with ease: The platform can handle multiple dietary preferences and quantities in a single order. * Checkout without ever opening the app: Users can confirm their order within the text thread and complete checkout. Starting Wednesday, DoorDash users in the United States can apply to try the feature in beta by joining a waitlist at doordash.com/text. The mall in your pocket. DoorDash is expanding its retail marketplace by adding brands including Macy's, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans and Timberland. The company said shoppers can browse a wider selection of apparel, beauty, and home goods with delivery from hundreds of stores nationwide. DoorDash is also expanding its return service. Dasher Returns is live in select cities and is expected to roll out nationwide in November. Customers pay a flat $7.99 fee to schedule an eligible return without needing a box or shipping label. The company noticed that pricing is subject to change. According to the company, a Dasher can pick up a return in as little as 30 minutes and bring it back to the store, where the return is processed. The delivery platform is also incorporating new tools to help restaurants grow, new artificial intelligence tools for dashers, and a new connector for corporate ordering. The North Face expands SAMY remit with influencer management brief.

The North Face expands SAMY remit with influencer management brief. business marketing Published on: Sep 25, 2026 LONDON, 24 September 2026: The North Face has appointed global social-first agency SAMY to lead its influencer management strategy and execution as the outdoor brand increases its investment in creator-led marketing and culturally relevant storytelling. The remit builds on a partnership that saw SAMY refresh The North Face's social media strategy in December 2024. As The North Face's social agency of record, SAMY's expanded remit now includes leading the brand's European influencer strategy and execution, uniting social and influencer activity under one agency partner, with a focus on the UK, Germany, France and Italy. As The North Face continues to invest in social and digital channels, creator partnerships are playing an increasingly important role in how the brand brings its 'Never Stop Exploring' story to life across different markets. SAMY will help the brand build more authentic relationships with audiences through athletes, creators and everyday adventurers, while ensuring campaigns remain locally relevant and globally consistent. SAMY will combine its global network with proprietary AI-powered technology to identify the right creator partnerships for each market. Using its Maia platform and Global Discovery Network, the agency will draw on millions of creator profiles, audience signals and performance data to match talent with campaigns, alongside human editorial judgement to ensure every partnership aligns with The North Face's brand and values. As well as creator identification and management, SAMY will provide local cultural intelligence to inform campaign planning, content development and talent activation. The agency will also develop governance frameworks and measurement models needed to evaluate performance consistently across markets, using Maia to track results on an ongoing monthly basis. Paul Hickey, managing director at SAMY UK, said: "MartechEdge has worked with The North Face for nearly a decade, and this appointment extends its partnership into influencer strategy and execution. "As the brand's social agency of record, MartechEdge already understand its audience, values and ambitions, and this appointment reflects both the strength of the relationship MartechEdge has built and The North Face's confidence in its integrated approach to social and influencer marketing. "Being appointed to lead The North Face's influencer management strategy across Europe reflects the strength of the relationship MartechEdge has already built with the brand and the confidence they've placed in its approach. "MartechEdge know that the best influencer programmes don't simply identify creators with reach or engagement; they identify people with genuine credibility in the communities that matter most to a brand. For a business like The North Face, that means balancing global consistency with local cultural understanding across a series of audiences that live and breathe the brand in different ways. "Our role is to bring that local expertise into European markets, helping The North Face build meaningful, long-term creator relationships that feel authentic because they're rooted in the communities they're designed to reach." Stephanie Zogg, senior manager, brand communications EMEA at The North Face, added: "The North Face has always told its story through the people who live it. As creator partnerships become an increasingly important part of how MartechEdge engage its communities, MartechEdge wanted a partner that combines strategic thinking with the local insight needed to make those relationships meaningful. "SAMY gives us the intelligence, technology and market expertise to build creator partnerships that are relevant to local audiences while staying true to our global brand."

North Face VECTIV Forward x Engineered Garments drops September 11th.

North Face VECTIV Forward x Engineered Garments drops September 11th. Sep 9, 2026 Key details. Release Date: September 11-12, 2026 * The VECTIV Forward is the first-ever collaboration between The North Face and Engineered Garments. * It converts between a laced running shoe and a slip-on using a swappable tongue cover. * The build pairs a 3D Pebax and carbon plate with a DREAM foam midsole and a SurfaceCTRL outsole. The North Face and Engineered Garments have unveiled the VECTIV Forward, the first sneaker to come out of their debut partnership. The lifestyle-runner hybrid is built around a two-way, modular design that lets the wearer swap between a traditional laced setup and a slip-on silhouette, merging outdoor running tech with a more utilitarian, everyday build. The Forward carries designer Daiki Suzuki's workwear-rooted design language, layered onto The North Face's running-shoe engineering, and it's the two labels' first sneaker project together. It lands as running silhouettes keep getting pulled into fashion rotations, pushing brands to build shoes that hold up on a run and still work as a daily pair. Engineered Garments has worked in footwear before, including its recent Converse Weapon collaboration, and this North Face pairing applies that same utilitarian eye to a performance running platform. JustFreshKicks will keep tracking how the collab rolls out; readers can also browse the sneaker release dates hub for what else is dropping this month. My latest videos. The The North Face x Engineered Garments VECTIV Forward design. Underfoot, the VECTIV Forward runs on a 3D Pebax and carbon plate paired with a DREAM foam midsole, tuned for propulsion and stability whether it's logging miles or just walking around. A rocker-shaped sole and a high-grip SurfaceCTRL outsole round out the running-focused build. The shoe arrives in a monochromatic "Easy Navy/TNF Black" colorway, keeping the palette restrained so the modular construction stays the focal point. Pulling the laces and clipping in the included tongue cover turns the running shoe into a slip-on without changing anything below the foot.
