Requirements
  • A master's degree in instructional design, curriculum development, learning science (andragogy), or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience in training and development, education, or communications, is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Demonstrate a successful record of project management and the ability to meet project quality expectations and schedule commitments.

  • Possess strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Conduct one-on-one and group training for faculty focused on video creation and instructional media use.
  • Develop text-, video-, and audio-based training materials to help faculty learn new tools and strategies.
  • Assist faculty in developing high-quality instructional videos and graphically attractive media assets.
  • Develop and implement media-focused training and support for faculty, staff, and/or students.
  • Possess strong technical skills and knowledge of information technology and media production workflows.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with video editing software programs.
  • Be proficient with HTML, CSS, e-learning software, content development tools, operating systems including OSX, Windows, and mobile platforms, video recording tools, Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps and Education tools, and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with faculty to develop high-quality courses aligned with institutional goals and learning outcomes.
  • Create instructional materials, including scripted and edited instructional videos, multimedia content, assessments, and interactive activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty on video planning, recording, and post-production to ensure pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about emerging instructional technologies and their application in education.
  • Provide detailed feedback to faculty on video quality, instructional clarity, pacing, and course design to ensure alignment with best practices and standards.
  • Use graphic design and video editing tools to enhance course visuals, branding, and usability.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence and other innovative tools to improve video production efficiency, student engagement, and learning outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to video production, editing, captioning, and online course design.
  • Provide one-on-one and group training sessions for faculty on Learning Management System features, video platforms, and media creation tools.
  • Assist faculty in designing, recording, editing, captioning, and integrating videos and multimedia elements into their courses.
  • Serve as a resource for faculty implementing engaging, media-rich, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Assist Senior Instructional Designers on projects, contributing video expertise to collaborative efforts and high-profile initiatives.
  • Identify and track success metrics related to video engagement, usability, and learning effectiveness.
  • Support faculty in applying assessment tools to evaluate the impact of video-based instruction and gather student feedback.
  • Assist with documentation and data collection related to media quality, accessibility compliance, and accreditation processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MEd is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in science or health sciences is preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Yuja is preferred.
