About the job
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience working with young children is preferred but not required.
- Must have CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Provide a safe, loving, and positive learning environment for all children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities based on the curriculum.
- Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate attendance, daily reports, and classroom documentation.
- Assist children with meals, diapering, potty training, and daily routines as needed.
- Keep classrooms clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the day.
- Follow all licensing regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.
- Reliable, patient, positive, and dependable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
