Requirements
  • You have your Provincial Driving Instructor Licence (Class 5) from Alberta Transportation. Training will be provided to suitable candidates who do not have this certification.
  • You have had a Class 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 licence for a minimum of 3 years.
  • You have the ability to obtain a Class 4 licence.
  • You have a clean driver’s abstract.
  • You have your own vehicle.
  • You can cover required start-up costs after completing training and acquiring your instructor license (vehicle add-ons, SEF 6D Endorsement insurance, and incorporating).
  • Incorporation will be required upon hire and obtaining a Workers' Compensation Board number will be required upon completion of training.
Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Field Manager, you will provide quality vehicle instruction to students, following AMA’s instruction requirements and customer service standards.
  • Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines and policies for Driving Instructors.
  • Provide constructive feedback on student drivers’ abilities, helping them develop the confidence and skills necessary to become licensed, safe drivers for life.
  • Be available after school, evenings, and weekends, to meet students' scheduling needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar platforms is a real plus, especially when used to work smarter, increase efficiency, and find better ways to get things done.
