  • Must have at least 2-3 years of proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Must be proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Must have knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, move, or carry tools, supplies, and inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools or controls; frequently reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear; and regularly bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, or legs.
  • Must have close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Perform work involving two or more maintenance craft occupations to maintain machines, mechanical equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, tile work, cleaning, carpentry, gardening, painting, plastering, and the building structure.
  • Perform pipe fitting, boiler repair, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, electrical-equipment troubleshooting, and equipment installation and alignment.
  • Repair leaks, unclog drains, address plumbing issues, and maintain water distribution and sewage systems.
  • Perform carpentry tasks, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
  • Assist with painting projects to maintain the facility.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including leaks, power outages, and equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruptions.
  • Follow a preventive maintenance schedule by conducting routine inspections, lubrication, and replacements to prevent breakdowns.
  • Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including filter replacement, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components such as switches, outlets, and light fixtures, and ensure electrical systems are safe and operational.
  • Perform other repairs and general maintenance duties as instructed by the manager.
  • Identify and immediately repair hazardous equipment or areas and complete daily reports for the supervisor or management.
  • Repair machines, equipment, and structures using hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Answer and respond to service calls.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
