Functional Test Engineer - Hil
About the job
- Four to six years of experience in functional, system, or hardware-in-the-loop testing of embedded or control systems.
- Experience with requirements-based testing, traceability tools such as DOORS, Jira/Xray, or Polarion, and defect lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop environments such as OPAL-RT, dSPACE, or NI, and test automation frameworks.
- Ability to read control-system designs, electrical schematics, and interface specifications.
- A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics.
- Design and execute hardware and software test methodology for the hardware-in-the-loop bench, including test plans, test cases, coverage, and results reporting for fully integrated bench acceptance.
- Translate client requirements into hardware-in-the-loop test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
- Execute functional, regression, and fault-injection tests on the bench; log, triage, and track defects.
- Define pass/fail criteria, coverage metrics, and key performance indicators for bench acceptance.
- Build test evidence packs and contribute to weekly progress reporting.
- Collaborate with software engineers to automate repeatable test suites.
- ISTQB certification.
- Python and Robot Framework.
- Semiconductor equipment or industrial automation background.
