Requirements
Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
Currently licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as a registered nurse.
CPR, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications are required.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including admission databases within 24 hours, and conduct regular rounds to adjust care plans based on changes in patient condition.
Serve as a patient advocate by involving families in creating and daily evaluating individualized care plans while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
Demonstrate competency in procedures and age-appropriate medication administration within the scope of practice.
Act as a central point of contact for the healthcare team, document interventions, and communicate clinical findings to practitioners and family members.
Serve as a role model and resource for nursing staff, and assist with staffing or temporary reassignments when needed.
Ensure nursing processes meet state and federal regulations, participate in continuous quality improvement, and adhere to hospital policies.
Respond promptly to call bells and maintain a calm, courteous, dignified, and respectful environment for patients.
Use manpower, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide efficient care.
