Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering or as a DevOps Engineer
  • 2+ years of experience working in or as part of Detection and Response teams
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Cybersecurity
  • Solid development skills in Python, Go, and/or Java
  • Knowledge of application security, system security, secure system design, secure coding best practices
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, Vulnerability & Patch Management, Identity and Access Management, Incident Handling and Response
  • Experience with AuthN/Z protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, OAuth, etc)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS and its Security services suite
  • Experience building integrations with open source scanners and/or vendor products
  • Experience in containerized environments and GitOps flow
  • Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Improve the Security of Turo’s Infrastructure using DevOps expertise
  • Identify and mitigate security issues, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities within Turo’s Cloud, Container, and Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Empower engineers with security flaws data and guidelines for self-service
  • Build security tools for critical infrastructure protection, monitoring, and remediation
  • Contribute to improving internal log aggregation methods and Security Alerting and Monitoring
  • Ensure 100% coverage across all assets by identifying gaps in apps and services lacking security scans
  • Participate in security on-call rotation
  • Propose innovative approaches and technologies for security compliance challenges
  • Stay updated on emerging IT trends and security standards
