- Personal Support Worker certification from a certified educational facility or international nursing education.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification.
- A current Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong drive, respect, and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented customer service environment and build trusted relationships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Deliver personalized activities of daily living that meet residents’ needs, including ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship, and nutritional support.
- Build trusted relationships with residents, families, and teams through continuous, ongoing, and effective communication.
- Document task completion on an electronic health record platform throughout each shift.
- Identify and communicate changes in residents’ care needs to clinical leads.
- Volunteer or work experience in a senior living setting.
