Requirements
  • A high school diploma, General Educational Development credential, or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • One to two years of hotel maintenance experience is required.
  • The ability to work weekends and evenings is required.
  • Basic maintenance certification or accreditation is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing is required.
Responsibilities
  • Repair or replace items throughout the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms.
  • Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report incidents, dangerous conditions, and unsafe equipment to a supervisor.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, including the car park and pool.
  • Follow the preventative maintenance calendar and identify improvements to keep equipment and facilities working efficiently.
  • Assist hotel guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Keep the manager or duty manager informed about issues and low-running supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as needed by the team.
