About the job

Requirements
  • Approximately 3+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of complex systems end-to-end.
  • Production experience shipping software with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python, APIs, and Postgres on the backend.
  • Ability to design clean data models, debug across the stack, and reason about security, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Production experience with LLM-powered applications, including agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, evaluations, observability, and non-deterministic behavior.
  • Ability to use artificial intelligence deeply in the engineering workflow to build, debug, and iterate.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard for code quality and production readiness.
Responsibilities
  • Own the application from validated prototype through launch and iteration, including frontend, backend, data models, integrations, large language model orchestration, testing, deployment, and operational infrastructure.
  • Translate field context into technical decisions and make complex artificial intelligence systems intuitive for nontechnical users.
  • Identify gaps, make architecture decisions, and challenge solutions that will not survive production.
  • Build well-architected, reliable software that handles messy data, demanding users, and production requirements.
  • Turn reusable components, patterns, and capabilities from one engagement into improvements that accelerate future deployments.

About the company

Ciridae provides end-to-end AI transformation services that help organizations become AI-first. It combines strategy with hands-on implementation to identify high-impact opportunities, modernize data foundations, and deploy production-grade AI systems that automate workflows across business functions. Its process includes diligence and risk assessment, workflow redesign, full-stack system construction (with integrations to existing systems), and ongoing command-and-control operations to monitor performance, handle exceptions, and iterate in production. Ciridae sits between traditional consulting and engineering teams, offering quick initial solutions and scalable architectures for longer-term transformation, especially in environments with legacy processes. The goal is to enable enterprises and PE-backed operators to adopt AI at scale, improve efficiency through automation, and maintain reliable, governed AI systems over time.

What believers are saying

  • Ciridae raised $20 million seed in May 2026, led by Accel.
  • It claimed more than 20 partners and high seven-figure 2025 revenue.
  • July 2026 hiring showed five roles, signaling active delivery expansion.

What critics are saying

  • Ciridae still depends on a tiny founding team and fresh venture capital.
  • Its service-heavy model invites Accenture, Slalom, and boutique AI consultancies into direct competition.
  • A failed PE rollout wave ends Ciridae's growth story.

What makes Ciridae unique

  • Ciridae sells AI transformation, not software, bundling strategy, implementation, and operations.
  • It targets PE-backed industrial firms in construction, logistics, restoration, and home services.
  • Founders Jack Soslow and Jack Weissenberger combine a16z dealmaking with Apple ML depth.

Ex-Apple and a16z founders raise $20M to bring AI to mid-market 'real economy' firms

Ciridae, founded by former Andreessen Horowitz partner Jack Soslow and ex-Apple machine learning lead Jack Weissenberger, has raised $20 million in seed funding led by Accel to bring AI to mid-market businesses in the "real economy". Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst also participated. The startup targets sectors like home services, construction and industrial distribution, initially focusing on private equity-backed companies. Ciridae works with over 20 partners and generated high seven-figure revenue in 2025. The company replaces traditional CRM, project management and working capital tools with AI operating systems. One Dallas construction client reduced monthly accounting processes from two weeks to a single click. The founders argue that mid-market businesses face existential risk if they fail to adopt AI but lack resources for transformation.
