As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Measure Technician / Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Measure Technician / Kitchen & Bath Designer who will serve as a critical link between the sales and production processes. In this role, you will visit homeowners' properties to obtain precise field measurements for pre-sold kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects. Using this information, you will create accurate layouts and designs while collaborating with clients to finalize floor plans, material selections, and overall project details before construction begins.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Field Measurements

• Visit residential job sites to conduct precise measurements for kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.
• Document existing conditions, including plumbing, electrical, and structural considerations.
• Identify and communicate any site-specific challenges that may impact project design or installation.

Design & Drafting

• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using 2020 Design or comparable design software.
• Develop accurate layouts that maximize functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Ensure design specifications align with project requirements and construction feasibility.

Client Consultation & Design Refinement

• Meet with homeowners in person, virtually, or in the showroom to review and refine project layouts.
• Provide professional recommendations regarding space planning, functionality, and product selections.
• Adjust designs based on client feedback while maintaining project feasibility.

Material & Finish Selection

• Guide homeowners through final selections, including:
  • Cabinet styles and finishes
  • Countertops
  • Hardware
  • Backsplashes
  • Paint colors and complementary materials
• Assist clients in creating cohesive and visually appealing design packages.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with project managers, installers, and sales team members to ensure design accuracy.
• Communicate measurement details, project specifications, and potential concerns before installation.
• Support a smooth transition from design approval to project execution.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen and bath design, field measuring, space planning, or a related remodeling role.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and remodeling practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and floor plans.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily travel to client locations.

Preferred

• Proficiency with 2020 Design software.
• Experience with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) design guidelines.
• Familiarity with cabinetry installation methods, plumbing layouts, and electrical requirements.
