FlexGen provides integrated energy storage solutions by designing and deploying battery energy storage systems (BESS) and pairing them with HybridOS, a proprietary software platform that manages and optimizes these assets. The product combines hardware and software to enable automated energy dispatch from batteries, solar/wind, and conventional generators to meet grid demands. It can manage a single site or an entire fleet of storage assets and delivers real-time data and performance analytics. Unlike competitors that may focus on either hardware or software alone, FlexGen offers a tightly integrated, software-first solution that coordinates multiple energy sources and storage assets in one system. Its goal is to support the energy transition by stabilizing the power grid, integrating renewable energy, and ensuring reliable power supply for utilities, independent power producers, and large industrial customers, while optimizing asset performance and cost for its customers.

FlexGen acquires Clean Energy Services to enhance battery storage reliability and expand service offerings

FlexGen Power Systems has acquired Clean Energy Services (CES), a provider of battery energy storage and utility-scale solar services. The deal strengthens FlexGen's battery storage leadership by adding CES's commissioning and lifecycle service capabilities to its existing software offerings. Founded in 2022, CES will operate as a FlexGen subsidiary whilst maintaining its existing customer base. CES brings over 125 field technicians and engineers, having commissioned more than 15GWh of battery storage systems and servicing over 1GW of solar and 4.5GWh of battery assets. The acquisition enables FlexGen to offer integrated solutions combining its HybridOS energy management software with CES's field service expertise. CES will continue operating its remote operations centre in Houston, whilst FlexGen maintains its Durham facility, together providing 24/7 monitoring across their combined portfolios.
