About the company

Mama Money operates as the world’s first Social Business Money Transfer Operator. It offers a mobile app through which foreign nationals can send money home to support their families, using a growing payout network that enables cheap, safe cross-border transfers. The service works by letting users initiate transfers in the app, which are then paid out to recipients via the network (cash pickups or other payout options) across many countries. What sets Mama Money apart is its focus on financial inclusion and social impact rather than pure profit: it aims to lower transfer costs for low-income migrants and expand access for African and Asian expats, embodying a mission-driven approach. The company’s goal is to reduce the price and friction of sending money abroad while uplifting livelihoods through easier access to affordable remittances."
