Requirements
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of Project Controls (Planning & Scheduling/Cost Engineering) in an Engineering/Procurement/Construction field
  • Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of fifteen (15) years project controls experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry, with demonstrated ability to provide direction to others and set priorities for self and others
  • Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements
  • Proficiency in basic project control software applications, including Primavera, Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to walk down and interface with personnel and systems in the field
  • Education and experience alignment with role requirements and ability to perform under SRR project processes and procedures
Responsibilities
  • Provide Project Controls services on assigned Savannah River Remediation project teams
  • Execute the process responsibilities associated with organization, development, analysis, implementation and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering and trend engineering established objectives
  • Prepare schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports which identify variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting cost, schedule or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program or other work activity
  • Provide services using SRR processes and procedures with programmatic guidance provided by SRR
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word; proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary
  • Security clearance not required for area (note: this is not a requirement but information)
  • Teamwork – ability to foster teamwork collaboratively as a participant, and effectively as a team leader
  • Leadership – ability to guide and lead colleagues on projects and initiatives
  • Business Acumen – understanding and insight into how organizations perform, including business processes, data, systems, and people
