Requirements
  • Ability to service HVAC products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Ability to prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Ability to inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness and maintain vehicle service, scheduling, repair, and maintenance records.
  • Ability to inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify the customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
  • Ability to complete job paperwork and maintain files, including recording daily time, progress, duration, parts, materials, labor, subcontractors, and other cost data.
  • Ability to determine parts required for repairs and the timeliness of orders.
  • Ability to keep current on products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Ability to provide technical support to customers.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including some overnight travel.
Responsibilities
  • Service HVAC products and equipment on assigned projects while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work.
  • Inspect and maintain company vehicles, including service records, scheduling, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and notify customers and/or the Operations Manager of findings.
  • Complete and submit required job paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Record parts, materials, labor, subcontractors, and other cost data for each assignment and return unused resources.
  • Determine repair parts and order them according to need and required timing.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact and provide technical support to customers.
