Quadric has extended its Series C funding round to $46 million, led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The investment brings the company's total funding to over $90 million. Existing investors Pear VC, Uncork Capital, and BEENEXT increased their stakes in the round. The company develops programmable AI chips designed for on-device applications, targeting sectors including automotive technology, AI personal computers, and enterprise solutions. Quadric plans to use the capital to expand its teams and pursue opportunities in humanoid robotics, wearable devices, and networking technologies. IFC's involvement reflects its focus on emerging markets, where it has invested over $3 billion in tech ventures. The investment aims to make AI technology more accessible to small and medium enterprises in these regions, enabling them to deploy AI solutions without relying heavily on cloud infrastructure.
Broadcom has launched VMware Tanzu Platform for Enterprise AI, a secure runtime environment for autonomous AI applications. The platform extends Tanzu capabilities to AI agents on VMware Cloud Foundation, enabling organisations to move from AI experiments to production-ready deployments. VMware Tanzu provides developers with access to pre-curated models, Model Context Protocol servers and marketplace services. It includes enterprise-ready data engines, caching, streaming and data flow services, alongside automatic infrastructure scaling with self-healing capabilities. Broadcom has partnered with MomentumAI and Mphasis to implement the platform in regulated industries. According to IDC Research manager Mathew Flug, the platform will help organisations advance beyond initial AI commitments.
Quadric, a provider of AI inference processor IP for on-device chips, has raised $30 million in an oversubscribed Series C round led by ACCELERATE Fund, bringing total funding to $72 million. Uncork Capital and Pear VC participated, alongside new investors including Volta and Wanxiang America. The company's product revenues more than tripled in 2025, driven by adoption of its Chimera processor IP across edge large language models, automotive and enterprise vision applications. Unlike fixed-function neural processing units, Chimera is fully programmable and can run any AI model on a unified architecture, scaling from 1 to 864 tera operations per second. Quadric recently secured two new licence agreements, including with Japan's Tier IV for autonomous driving applications. The funding will support customer success initiatives and product development.
