Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Five to seven years of total work experience is preferred.
  • Experience in financial services or corporate actions is preferred.
  • Applicable local or regional licenses or certifications are required as determined by the business.
Responsibilities
  • Perform mandatory and voluntary corporate action-related custody and accounting processing, including dividend payments, reorganizations, proxy events, and bond redemptions.
  • Manage and control risk and liability across the various functions and perform reconciliation activities, client reporting, and transaction probation.
  • Meet with organizational units and teams to ensure corporate action events are addressed appropriately.
  • Determine the impact of moderately complex events and disseminate event information to investors and client accounts.
  • Apply in-depth area knowledge and industry standards and practices to provide client solutions.
  • Review cash reconciliations, security transactions, and suspense transactions in accordance with established quality control measures and procedures.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, investment managers, sub-custodians, and custodians.
  • Use multiple systems to perform complex corporate action processing, including creating and scrubbing announcements, sending client instructions to third parties, and posting online cash and security transactions.
  • Participate in developing documentation circulated to the market.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced staff and maintain a strong understanding of corporate action procedures, events, and market practices.
  • Contribute to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
