  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial banking experience, including credit structuring and analysis, sales functions, risk assessment, and knowledge of commercial banking products, services, and technology; accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years working in credit structuring and financial analysis is preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years working in Commercial Middle Market Credit Structuring and Financial Analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Directly interact with the Regional Sales Executive, Commercial Sales Leaders, and Relationship Managers on in-market sales strategy and support.
  • Give direction to Commercial Analysts and drive accountability for their results.
  • Ensure proposed use of systems is client-service oriented and attentive to managing risk and value-added servicing activities.
  • Monitor and audit Commercial Analyst workflow for adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Monitor and review Commercial Analyst outputs, including pre-flight materials, pitch books, collaboration, and communication, for consistency and accuracy.
  • Hire, onboard, and train new Commercial Analysts so they can fulfill the credit acumen required for the job.
  • Conduct regular ongoing performance coaching and mid-year and annual reviews.
  • Partner with BGPM and HR to conduct ongoing Commercial Analyst skill assessments and provide relevant training opportunities.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Commercial Analyst day-to-day responsibilities, including process questions and nCino issues.
  • Identify and communicate important information about changes in processes, policies, or other role-related topics.
  • Collaborate with partners, including CSLs, COs, UTLs, UWs, and Credit Systems, to identify areas for improvement in credit and underwriting processes.
  • Plan and manage staff and controllable expenses.
  • Travel periodically to meet with Commercial Analysts and Relationship Teams and attend bank, client, and educational meetings and events.
  • Comply with KeyBank policies and procedures, act professionally and ethically, avoid conflicts of interest, and act in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
  • Perform other assigned duties; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned.

Apex secures $589M financing for 150MW Illinois solar project

Apex Clean Energy has secured $589 million in financing for its 150MW Spring Creek solar project in Macon County, Illinois. Helaba and KeyBank provided $352.1 million in construction and term loan financing, including a $226.3 million bridge loan due January 2028, a $103.8 million term loan, and a $22 million standby letter of credit, both due August 2031. Barclays provided the tax equity commitment, marking its first project-level deal with Apex after years of corporate-level financing. The project will add solar capacity to the MISO grid and represents Apex's sixth solar facility in Illinois. The company's Illinois projects total $3.5 billion in investment for facilities either operational or under construction.

KeyBank appoints Mike Keane as chief operating officer of Key Wealth

KeyBank has appointed Mike Keane as Chief Operating Officer of Key Wealth, effective 1 October 2026. Keane will report to Joe Skarda, Head of Key Wealth, and oversee the delivery of financial planning, investment, fiduciary, and banking services across the business. Keane brings over 25 years of experience in wealth management and banking. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Wilmington Trust, M&T Bank's wealth management division. He will be based in Baltimore. Keane succeeds Joe Calabrese, who announced his retirement plans and will remain with the organisation through year-end to support the leadership transition. Calabrese joined Key Wealth in 2016 and has played a significant role in shaping the organisation's growth strategy and operating model.

CTO Realty Growth closes $1B unsecured credit facility, extends debt maturities to 2029

CTO Realty Growth has closed a $1.0 billion unsecured credit facility, extending its debt maturity profile and increasing total commitments by $250 million. The Winter Park, Florida-based owner and operator of open-air shopping centres will use proceeds to repay outstanding borrowings under its previous $300 million revolving credit facility and two term loans. The new facility comprises a $400 million revolving credit facility due September 2030 and four term loans ranging from $150 million each, maturing between September 2029 and March 2032. The refinancing increases the company's weighted average debt maturity to 4.3 years from 1.6 years. Initial fixed interest rates on the term loans range from 3.4% to 5.3%, based on applied SOFR swaps. The facility was provided by a syndicate led by KeyBank National Association.

KeyBank appoints Drue Anderson as head of retail banking

KeyBank has appointed Drue Anderson to lead its Retail Banking division. Anderson brings over 25 years of banking experience, most recently serving as Divisional Director of Consumer Banking and Head of Virtual Banking at JPMorgan Chase. He will focus on growth execution, client experience and strategic commitments. Anderson succeeds Kevin Sloan, who is retiring at year-end. Earlier in his career, Anderson held leadership positions at Citibank, including regional director and sales manager roles, where he helped deliver double-digit year-over-year balance and revenue growth. He will be based at KeyBank's Indianapolis office and will work with Sloan through the end of 2026 to ensure a smooth transition.
