Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a marketing or advertising-agency setting.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro, and competence with calendaring and email systems such as Outlook.
  • A valid California driver's license.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to take direction and input and develop and execute effective physician outreach efforts that achieve organizational goals.
  • Required measles, mumps, varicella, and annual influenza immunizations as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with marketing leadership, strategy and physician development, and service-line leadership, identify target physicians for new business that supports strategic growth initiatives.
  • Develop sales plans for strategic initiatives; evaluate market-utilization data, referral patterns, and market trends to ensure plans are data-driven, leads are qualified, and sales resources are optimized.
  • Achieve assigned touchpoint quotas for specific initiatives and report activity using available metrics based on assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate and attend outreach meetings between key staff, physician groups, and other strategic targets to grow new business.
  • Conduct ongoing meetings with business development and physician leaders to ensure outreach strategy is aligned.
  • Collaborate with strategic marketing teams on growth goals, participate in marketing and outreach meetings, and develop and deliver collateral and presentations as required.
  • Report changing trends and market intelligence that affect decision-making by marketing leadership, strategic development, and physician leadership.
  • Maintain the customer relationship management system to track physician engagements, external contacts, relationship information, and reported concerns.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of MarinHealth, the broader Marin medical community, the North Bay healthcare marketplace, and market factors for specific service-line initiatives.
  • Participate actively in department and team meetings to determine strategy, support other team members, and build the service.
  • Act in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, with particular attention to reimbursement policies and requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree.
  • Healthcare experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare industry trends and referral patterns.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills to perform complex market and financial analysis.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication, relationship-building, and political-acumen skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn specialized applications and tools, including Salesforce.
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment when handling sensitive and confidential issues with discretion.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to be a self-starter.
