  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least six months of administrative office experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Willingness to learn other required systems is expected.
  • Regular and reliable attendance in the office environment is required.
  • The role requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary, and walk to and from the mailroom.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the central point of contact for inquiries regarding general education and College Credit Plus courses within the College of Business and Humanities.
  • Collaborate with department chairs and college administration to address questions, resolve issues, and streamline general education and College Credit Plus processes.
  • Monitor enrollment trends, survey students about their interests in general education courses, and analyze data to recommend course offerings and section numbers.
  • Work with advisors to identify general education pathways and align course offerings with students’ academic needs.
  • Assist department chairs in identifying adjunct faculty for additional course sections when necessary.
  • Assist the Lead College Credit Plus Faculty Liaison with communication to high school instructors and help coordinate training workshops.
  • Assist faculty, staff, and students with on-campus and off-campus department events and outreach.
  • Assist with department and program grants and awards.
  • Place textbook orders and desk-copy orders.
  • Assist with visiting scholars and student groups.
  • Initiate contracts for adjunct faculty.
  • Maintain the department calendar of on- and off-campus events.
  • Record, type, and disseminate department meeting minutes.
  • Assist with scheduling department meetings for the year.
  • Create and maintain department and program databases and records or files.
  • Schedule and change course information in Workday.
  • Assist with reserving rooms for meetings, events, and classes.
  • Collect and disseminate pertinent documents throughout the semester and year.
  • Assist with monitoring department budgets and processing requisitions and receipts.
  • Track and order essential department or program supplies.
  • Answer phones and provide efficient service to callers.
  • Provide clerical support for incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Serve as the first contact for visitors and answer questions from students, faculty, and visitors.
  • Create reports and coordinate data.
  • Act as a liaison between the college and other offices or departments regarding general education and College Credit Plus courses.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with department chairs, advisors, and other college personnel to facilitate problem-solving and efficient operations.
  • Answer non-routine correspondence and assemble confidential and sensitive information.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
  • Perform other duties appropriate to the position.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional years of administrative office experience are preferred.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
