Requirements
  • Three years of work experience.
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required and must be maintained.
  • Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians certification.
  • New team members must obtain certification within six months of hire, subject to the stated training-program exception.
  • New team members enrolled in or enrolling in an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists-accredited and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board-recognized pharmacy technician training program have 30 days after program completion to obtain certification.
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in obtaining access to medications through manufacturer-sponsored patient assistance programs, foundation assistance programs, and other available medication access resources.
  • Collaborate with patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, manufacturers, and internal healthcare teams to support medication access and continuity of care.
  • Coordinate medication-assistance application processes.
  • Gather and maintain required documentation.
  • Monitor program eligibility and renewal requirements.
  • Ensure timely follow-through on patient assistance activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous medication assistance experience is preferred.
