Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in automotive purchasing.
Strong negotiation ability, supported by significant demonstrable achievements.
Ability to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Knowledge of Asian markets, including operator costs and machine hourly rates by country.
Ability to understand technical drawings.
Must have a driving license and a car, and confirm that day-round trips can be made using the car.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence.
Chinese language ability is an advantage.
A background in process automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define and implement technical, resourcing, logistics, and VPS material productivity actions and reservoirs in line with budget requirements, collaborating with the segment organization.
Support the commodity organization and Segment Leaders in meeting site negotiation objectives.
Drive material productivity actions in front of the MSC and engage suppliers in line with budget timing.
Monitor supplier relationships when assigned the Key Account Purchasing role for a supplier not covered by the Group Commodity organization.
Implement worldwide PG/PL material standards at the sites.
Build site budgets with the site Purchasing Manager and in liaison with Segment Leaders.
Implement mitigation action plans at site level.
Ensure logistics protocol coverage for all bought-out parts.
Apply V5000 Supplier Integration axis standards, including internal referentials, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, and information systems.
Track shared and role-specific KPIs, including purchasing index, purchasing index for the assigned commodity and site, supplier rationalization, productivity reservoir, and quality incidents.

Defines and implements technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements, in collaboration with the segment organization
Supports the commodity organization (Segment Leaders) to reach the site negotiation objectives
Drives in front of the MSC material productivity actions and brings suppliers in, in line with budget timing
Monitors Supplier Relationship wherever assigned the Role of Key Account Purchasing (KAP) for a given supplier, when not covered by Group Commodity organisation
Implements PG/PL Worldwide materials standards in the site (s)
Build up the site (s) budget together with the site Purchasing manager and in liaison with the Segment Leaders
Implement mitigation action plan at site level
Ensure coverage of logistics protocols for all bought out parts
Strictly apply the V5000 Supplier Integration axis Standards (internal referential, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, information systems)
Minimum experience 3 years in purchasing automotive
Must be strong negotiator with significant achievement done in the past to be demonstrated, justified
Ability to identify cost down opportunities
Asian market knowledges (aware of operator cost, machine hourly rate per country) to bring the most competitive cost to Valeo
Chinese speaker will be an advantage
Familiar with AI
Must have driving license and car, candidate shall confirm day roundtrip will be done with his car, because sometime we have extra job to be finished but if people come with van, it is a problem who must be resolved progressively
Able to understand technical drawings
Process automation background will be a plus
