CDL Driver/Technician - Tank and Vacuum Trucks
About the job
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A or B is required.
- Tank and hazardous-material endorsements are required or must be obtained.
- Ability to wear a tight-fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing.
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces and perform frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and climbing.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently lift 40–50 pounds.
- Ability to use manual and power hand tools and a hand shovel while exposed to noise and vibration.
- Ability to work around hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment and in heat, cold, dust, woodland, streamside, and swampland conditions.
- Ability to work up to 12 hours per day, seven days per week.
- Ability to use required USEPA Level B, C, or D personal protective equipment, including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection, gloves, and chemical protective clothing.
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle with frequent stops and pickups.
- Perform general manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER and commercial tank-truck operations.
- Handle tank-truck hoses and related equipment.
- Travel overnight approximately 30% of the time.
