About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates with any level of CNC machining experience, including Horizontal Machining Center experience, are encouraged to apply; entry-level applicants with basic machine knowledge will be considered.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are required.
- Set up and operate Horizontal Machining Centers to perform drilling, tapping, boring, and milling operations.
- Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers to perform drilling, tapping, boring, and milling operations.
- Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing specifications.
- Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine settings to maintain part quality and tolerances.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make minor adjustments to ensure continuous production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
- Technical training is preferred.
