Requirements
  • Two years of experience in apparel production, sourcing, or a related supply chain role; internship experience is considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for regular vendor correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working across time zones with overseas vendors and factories.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, issue, and maintain purchase orders to vendors and factories based on direction from the Production Manager.
  • Verify purchase-order accuracy, including style numbers, quantities, costing, ship dates, and vendor terms, before issuance.
  • Track open purchase orders from issuance through delivery and flag delays or discrepancies.
  • Follow up with vendors and factories to confirm production timelines, sample approvals, and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain and update production calendars and status trackers to reflect current order status.
  • Escalate at-risk orders, including late production, missed milestones, and quality issues, to the Production Manager in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with merchandising, design, and logistics teams about updated timelines or order changes.
  • Maintain vendor files, including compliance documents, costing sheets, and order history.
  • Support the Production Manager with administrative tasks related to sourcing and production.
  • Reconcile purchase-order details against invoices and shipping documents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with product lifecycle management or enterprise resource planning systems.
  • A bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
