Requirements
- A high school diploma is required.
- A valid and insurable driver's license is required.
- Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness or other human service experience is required.
- The ability to help others is required.
- The ability to work independently and as a team member is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The ability to stay organized and manage time effectively is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive counseling to adults diagnosed with mental illness who live in a group home.
- Teach daily living skills, including medication management and coping skills, and provide rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and crisis prevention services.
- Organize recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction.
- Maintain a healthy and clean environment for clients, ensure clients complete chores correctly, and assist with cleaning activities.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Transport clients using the agency's vehicles.
Desired Qualifications
- College classes in human services are preferred.
