Responsibilities
Perform routine to complex drafting assignments for structural design projects in coordination with surveyors, project managers, engineers, and technicians.
Use AutoCAD, Revit, structural analysis, and other software to draft and design projects.
Perform drafting and design work for buildings, retaining walls, foundations, and other structures.
Transfer information from team members into computer-aided drafting software and apply appropriate symbols and drafting standards to create finished products.
Work with an engineer or designer on full plan development and prepare drawings from rough sketches or interpretations of field notes.
Work with field staff to document field conditions for reproduction in drawings.
Interpret as-built and redline information and make appropriate revisions to plans.
Manage drafting work and interface with other disciplines as needed.
Assist with the development, modification, and application of three-dimensional models in appropriate design software.
Assist with proposal preparation and fee development.
Handle multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously.
Assist the Project Engineer or Project Manager with feasibility studies and layout work for complex structures.
Desired Qualifications
A two-year technical degree in design and drafting or civil engineering technology is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will work on drafting routine to complex engineering projects utilizing Computer Aided Drafting programs and design software. Position specializes in structural engineering projects. Project work will focus on bridge design.
