Firebirds Wood Fired Grill opens first Goodyear location. October 14, 2026 Goodyear has a new option for steak, seafood and cocktails, as Firebirds Wood Fired Grill has opened its first West Valley location. The approximately 5,600-square-foot restaurant brings Firebirds' polished-casual take on the traditional American grill to Goodyear. The eatery is known for its exposed wood-fired grill, where hand-cut steaks and seafood are seared over locally sourced hickory, oak or pecan wood. The cooking method is central to the menu, giving guests a chance to enjoy classic favorites with the flavors that come from cooking over an open flame. The restaurant's atmosphere follows the same fire-focused approach, with an energetic dining room designed to feel elevated without being overly formal. Guests can also settle into the FIREBAR for cocktails, drinks and food, or take advantage of the full-service patio. In addition to its signature steaks and seafood, Firebirds offers a range of American favorites. For those looking to try the restaurant without committing to a full evening out, Firebirds also introduced its Early Dinner Menu. Available Monday through Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m., the menu offers a selection of faves for $19.95. The Goodyear opening adds another dining destination to the rapidly growing West Valley, giving residents a new spot for wood-fired steaks, fresh seafood, cocktails and a polished-casual atmosphere. Beyond its restaurant offerings, Firebirds also has a longstanding commitment to philanthropy. The company partners year-round with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and has raised approximately $5 million for childhood cancer research through the sale of fresh-squeezed lemonade. Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is located at 14848 W. McDowell Road. For more information, visit Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.

"The City of Goodyear, GSQ team and RED Development have been incredible partners in helping shape a place that feels thoughtful, welcoming, and full of community. Goodyear has such great energy right now, and we're so excited to pull up a chair and be part of the neighborhood." Three restaurants are set to open at GSQ before the end of the year. Flower Child, the popular, feel-good fast-casual restaurant from Fox Restaurant Concepts known for its vibrant, health-forward menu of made-from-scratch bowls, wraps and salads, is expected to open near Postino by the end of the year. Additional tenants are on track to open in 2027. Spinato's Pizzeria, the family-owned Italian restaurant founded in Phoenix in 1974, will open a 4,095-square-foot location across from the south parking garage, marking its furthest West Valley location. The restaurant has grown over four decades on authentic Italian flavors, a scratch kitchen and a family-first atmosphere. Qdoba, a quick-service restaurant serving Mexican-inspired burritos, bowls and tacos, will open a 2,255-square-foot location near the south parking garage. Next door, Petfolk, the modern veterinary care network offering primary and urgent care for dogs and cats, will occupy 2,279 square feet. Berry Divine Acai Bowls, known for its organic acai bowls and health-focused menu, will open its 11th location in a 1,273-square-foot space on the Civic Square side of the development. "Last year, the City of Goodyear surveyed residents on the retailers and restaurants they most wanted to see, and Sephora, Postino, Flower Child and Spinato's Pizzeria all ranked in the top 10," said Mike Ebert, managing partner of RED Development. "Bringing those names to GSQ reflects the kind of leasing strategy we've built this development around."

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill brings wood-fired flavor and signature hospitality to Wake Forest. Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is preparing to bring its signature combination of bold flavors, warm hospitality, and elevated dining to Wake Forest, with an anticipated opening by the end of September. At the heart of Firebirds is its mission: "Creating extraordinary experiences through hospitality." Known across the United States for its warm atmosphere, scratch kitchen, and wood-fired grill, Firebirds centers its menu around one of the oldest and most satisfying methods of cooking: fire. Locally sourced hardwoods and unique grilling techniques bring bold flavors to hand-cut, aged steaks, fresh seafood, and other American favorites. Craft cocktails round out the experience. With more than 76 restaurants expected to be operating by the end of 2026, Firebirds continues to expand its presence across the country. Aggie Hughes, Marketing Manager for Firebirds, shared an update on the upcoming Wake Forest restaurant, which will become the company's 74th and will be located within the Grove 98 development at 1311 Grove Village Road. Hughes shared that the Firebirds team is excited to become part of Wake Forest, a thriving and growing community that continues to welcome new businesses, residents, and opportunities. With an established presence in the Triangle, the company sees Wake Forest as a natural fit for its continued growth and looks forward to building lasting relationships within the community. The Wake Forest location will feature a newly created Firebirds footprint with a lighter, brighter aesthetic. Wood grain elements will be incorporated throughout the furniture, fixtures, artwork, and décor, bringing warmth and character to the space. Hospitality is Firebirds' "North Star" and is ingrained in the company from the beginning. Every team member, regardless of position, is trained to understand their role in making guests feel welcome and celebrated. That training goes beyond learning the responsibilities of a position. Team members experience different parts of the restaurant, from kitchen preparation to tasting the menu themselves. This firsthand knowledge allows them to confidently offer genuine recommendations to guests. Firebirds believes the little things make the biggest difference in a guest's experience. They refer to these thoughtful touches as "unexpected delights." Order the ribs, for example, and a hot towel may arrive afterward. During your meal, a team member may discreetly clear crumbs from the table. Small gestures, but intentional ones. Martini fans can expect another signature touch. To ensure the coldest possible pour, a freshly shaken martini is brought directly to the table and poured for the guest, keeping it perfectly chilled while adding a little theater to the experience. Firebirds believes this attention to detail builds loyalty. The goal is for guests to remember more than the meal and leave wanting to return. Firebirds has a history of partnering with local organizations, chambers of commerce, and networking groups and looks forward to becoming an active part of the Wake Forest community. For the Wake Forest Business & Industry Partnership (WFBIP), attracting new businesses is an important part of economic development, but equally important are the relationships those businesses build once they arrive. "Wake Forest continues to experience tremendous growth, and businesses like Firebirds contribute to the economic vitality of our community," said Jason Cannon, President of WFBIP. "We value businesses that not only choose to invest here, but also understand the importance of building strong community partnerships. We look forward to welcoming Firebirds to Wake Forest and seeing them become part of the fabric of our growing community." Firebirds anticipates opening its doors by the end of September 2026. Get ready to experience the wood-fired flavors, signature hospitality, and perhaps a Double Black Diamond Martini poured tableside. Your table awaits.
