Requirements
  • A Wisconsin medical license is required by the appointment start date.
  • Board certification or board eligibility from the American Board of Surgery, American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, or an equivalent board is required by the appointment start date.
  • Eligibility for enrollment as a billing provider and eligibility for all necessary hospital privileges are required by the appointment start date.
  • An MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree is required.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage benign and malignant disease of the breast.
  • Provide elective inpatient and outpatient clinical practice primarily at University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in administrative and committee work supporting the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
  • Participate in research and/or programmatic development.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty members and multidisciplinary breast-care professionals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of a fellowship in Surgical Oncology and/or Breast Surgery by the appointment start date is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates appointed at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the Clinical Health Science track must meet department and School of Medicine and Public Health promotion or appointment criteria.
  • Candidates appointed at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on the Clinical Teaching track must meet department and School of Medicine and Public Health promotion or appointment criteria.
