Remote-first
Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.
At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.
This position will be (remote for SF Bay Area Or LA residents only)
Please note: We have multiple openings for a variety of teams within Product Experiences and across our engineering team.
You will
- Build software solutions which meet and exceed operating targets of reliability, scalability, security, maintainability and performance
- Develop and define the architecture and tech stack for Product Experiences
- Work cross-functionally with many teams: Engineering, Product, Technical Operations, Data Science, etc...
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
You have
Strong coding skills in Java/Kotlin
Experience with Java frameworks like SpringBoot / Spring.
Experienced in architectural patterns of high-scale distributed products/services, such as well-designed APIs, concurrency, messaging, and efficient algorithms
Familiarity with REST and/or GraphQL.
Strong database design skills with scalability and evolutionary characteristics
Batch / offline processing (worked with large amts of data)
Experience with Data Lake/ Data application development
Familiarity with Snowflake/ Python
Experience with ETL processing and aggregation of data obtained from disparate sources
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($120,000 - $240,000). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
