Autism clinic plans city location.

Autism clinic plans city location. * BY PAT KIMBROUGH ENTERPRISE STAFF WRITER * 3 hrs ago HIGH POINT - An autism therapy services chain provider plans to establish its first High Point location. Engineers recently filed development plans with the city to support ground-up construction of a 6,200-square-foot facility for a Kind Behavioral Health office at 3921 Tinsley Drive. The 1-acre, undeveloped lot is next to the Ma'Luz Mexican Grill restaurant in the Wendover Crossing office and retail development. Kind Behavioral Health says on its website that it has "provided high-quality services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) since 2006." It's headquartered in Durham and says it has existing Triad locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. It says it's a provider of autism treatment services called "applied behavior analysis" therapy. "ABA is a therapy that helps children with autism learn new skills and build on their strengths," it says on its website. The project developer is real estate firm Greenwood and Charles of High Point, which also owns the property. It's zoned conditional use general business, which will accommodate the proposed minor medical office use. It's one of the last remaining undeveloped parcels in the Wendover Crossing and Wendover Landing commercial areas near the convergence of Eastchester Drive and W. Wendover Avenue.
