Requirements
  • Proficiency in carpentry, including partition framing with metal or wood studs, basic cabinetry and countertop installation, and door and window installation.
  • Proficiency in interior and exterior painting.
  • Proficiency in installing VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base flooring.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, including replacing or installing sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines; licensed plumbers are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical work, including replacing or installing light fixtures, switches, and outlets, making basic data connections, and diagnosing minor electrical problems; licensed electricians are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and preventive maintenance service calls.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
  • Ability to document repairs in detail, including measurements, pictures, repair recommendations, and quotes.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or on call as workload and emergency issues dictate.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Must supply basic construction hand tools.
  • Must have OSHA 10-hour training or complete it within 3 months of employment; the employer pays for the training.
