Requirements
  • Experience administering large Hadoop clusters (Cloudera or Hortonworks) including activities like deploying Hadoop cluster, adding and removing nodes, keeping track of jobs, monitoring critical parts of the cluster, configuring name-node high availability, scheduling and configuring it and taking backups
  • General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system’s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks
  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure
  • Aligning with the systems engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required for Hadoop and to expand existing environments
  • Working with data delivery teams to setup new Hadoop users including setting up Linux users, Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Hive, Pig and MapReduce access for new users
  • Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise, Dell Open Manage and other tools
  • Monitoring, Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines
  • Screen Hadoop cluster job performances and capacity planning
  • Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security
  • Manage and review Hadoop log files
  • File system management and monitoring
  • HDFS support and maintenance, disk space management
  • Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability
  • Collaborating with application teams to install operating system and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades when required
  • Point of Contact for Vendor escalation

  • The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Administer large Hadoop clusters and oversee deployment, node management, job tracking, monitoring cluster components, configuring name-node high availability, scheduling, and backups
  • Provide general operational troubleshooting and capacity planning
  • Implement and administer Hadoop infrastructure
  • Collaborate with systems engineering to propose/deploy hardware/software for Hadoop and expand environments
  • Set up new Hadoop users including Linux accounts, Kerberos principals, and test access to HDFS, Hive, Pig, MapReduce
  • Perform cluster maintenance: add/remove nodes using Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise, Dell Open Manage
  • Monitor and tune performance of Hadoop clusters and MapReduce
  • Monitor job performance and capacity planning
  • Monitor connectivity and security of Hadoop cluster
  • Manage and review Hadoop log files
  • File system management and monitoring; HDFS maintenance and disk space management
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, DB, application, BI teams to ensure data quality and availability
  • Coordinate OS and Hadoop updates, patches, and version upgrades with application teams

It is because CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh prepare to launch several major IT projects on Friday. Cognizant campus for 8000 jobs in Visakhapatnam. The most notable project is the foundation stone for Cognizant's permanent campus at Kapuluppada IT Hills. The company granted 21.31 acres for this project. Cognizant plans to invest Rs 1,583 crore to build a top-notch AI and digital transformation center in three phases. It create 8,000 jobs. The first phase expected to finished by 2029, with the entire facility set to completed by 2033. Until then, the company will operate from a temporary 1,000-seat campus at the Mahati FinTech building in Rushikonda. Specialty about campus. The campus feature Grade-A office spaces, premium residences, integrated retail and hospitality facilities, smart mobility systems, renewable energy integration, and infrastructure that meets ESG standards. Satva Group completed 78 million sq. ft. of development in major cities, plans to build 5 million sq. ft. of IT office space in Visakhapatnam over the next five years. Along with these key projects, Minister Lokesh also start the ground-breaking ceremonies for 7 more IT companies in Madhurawada and Kapuluppada. Tech Tammina invest Rs 62 crore to create 500 jobs, while Nonrel Technologies invest Rs 50.60 crore to generate 567 jobs. ACN HealthCare RCM Services set up its unit with an investment of Rs 30 crore, creating 600 jobs and starting operations within a year.
