About the job

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, production control, production administration, shop-floor data collection, enterprise resource planning or manufacturing execution system transactions, inventory control, or a related operational role are required.
  • Experience working directly in a manufacturing environment and a practical understanding of production schedules, workstations, work-in-process, Assembly Orders, Production Orders, and daily shop-floor activity are required.
  • Working knowledge of production-order status, labor reporting, production output, component consumption, scrap, rework, downtime, station movement, and manufacturing-order closure is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, lookups, data comparison, and basic data validation, is required.
  • The ability to compare system records with physical production activity, identify discrepancies, and follow corrections through completion is required.
  • The ability to spend a significant portion of the workday walking and standing on the production floor and using computers, tablets, barcode scanners, and other station-level data-collection equipment is required.
  • Applicants must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Work daily on the production floor to collect, verify, and maintain manufacturing execution system data from workstations, operators, supervisors, production records, and approved shop-floor data-collection tools.
  • Maintain production data used to manage the production schedule, including order status, station assignment, work-in-process location, planned versus actual progress, completed quantities, constraints, and completion status.
  • Support Shop Floor Management data collection by preparing current station-level information for daily production meetings, hour-by-hour tracking, plan-versus-actual review, work-in-process status, and follow-up actions.
  • Partner with the Industrial Engineering Technician to collect and validate downtime, cycle time, output, utilization, labor, queue, and other station-specific KPI data using approved definitions and collection methods.
  • Support accurate and timely closing of Assembly Orders and Production Orders by confirming labor, output, component consumption, scrap, rework, serial or lot information, and completion transactions, and by resolving exceptions.
  • Review open Assembly Orders, Production Orders, workstation records, and production schedule data throughout each shift to identify missing, late, duplicate, or incorrect entries and coordinate corrections.
  • Enter approved production information from station logs, paper forms, barcode scanners, tablets, and other source records into Business Central or related MES tools when direct operator entry is unavailable or requires correction.
  • Reconcile MES transactions against physical work-in-process, completed units, material movement, station status, and supervisor records to confirm that the system reflects actual factory activity.
  • Provide first-line shop-floor support for production transaction questions, order-status issues, barcode or scanner problems, workstation data-entry errors, and incorrect postings, escalating system, hardware, access, or integration issues as appropriate.
  • Train and coach operators, team leads, and supervisors on approved MES reporting steps, production-data expectations, and accurate and timely workstation transactions.
  • Maintain station-level collection tools and controls, including work-center and station IDs, transaction guides, production forms, barcode or QR labels, terminals, scanners, and Shop Floor Management tracking aids.
  • Prepare daily and weekly data-completeness summaries and provide validated source data for production schedule adherence, throughput, downtime, cycle time, labor efficiency, utilization, work-in-process, and other factory metrics.
  • Support new product, line, and workstation launches by testing Assembly Orders, Production Orders, station codes, collection methods, transaction flows, and reporting outputs.
  • Follow approved data-governance and change-control requirements and do not independently change engineering requirements, bills of materials, routings, standard times, production priorities, or enterprise-wide ERP configuration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree or technical certificate in manufacturing, operations, business systems, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is strongly preferred; experience with another manufacturing ERP, MES, or shop-floor data-collection system will be considered.
  • Experience with barcode systems, Power BI or reporting tools, Shop Floor Management, lean manufacturing, standardized work, daily production scheduling, ISO 9001, or multi-site manufacturing operations is preferred.

What believers are saying

  • S2G invested $50 million in February 2025, funding expansion and sustainable product development.
  • ANA won 2025 Rental Editor’s Choice and Contractors’ Top 50 New Products awards.
  • ANA posted October 2026 support updates and still markets 13kVA-400kVA generators, signaling active commercialization.

What critics are saying

  • ANA depends on Hokuetsu Industries’ AIRMAN supply; termination would crush inventory and revenue.
  • EBOSS® battles cheaper diesel generators and battery systems from Atlas Copco and Caterpillar by 2027.
  • S2G’s capital push demands scale; failed expansion leaves ANA trapped between fixed costs and narrow margins.

What makes ANA unique

  • ANA controls North American distribution for AIRMAN generators, compressors, and MAC3 tools.
  • EBOSS® hybrid systems cut runtime, fuel burn, and emissions versus diesel-only units.
  • Henderson-based ANA pairs rental-channel reach with proprietary battery-hybrid technology, not commodity hardware.

S2G Investments seeks alpha in impact - without the label (podcast).

S2G Investments seeks alpha in impact - without the label (podcast). Walmart heir Lukas Walton started S2G Investments in 2014 to support entrepreneurs transforming food and agriculture systems. The Chicago-based firm has since added investment strategies around oceans and energy. It's tracking the warming climate, the aging population and the effect on consumer spending of the growing divergence in income and wealth in a "K-shaped" economy. Those may sound like impact investing themes. But don't call S2G Investments, now with $2.8 billion under management, an impact investor. "We sit at a different point on the spectrum, where we're underwriting for institutional, non-concessionary returns, and competing for the same LP capital as conventional growth funds or private credit funds," S2G's Aaron Rudberg says on the latest Agents of Impact podcast. "But impact is a core part of how we underwrite as well." Growth capital. S2G, which this summer closed on its $1 billion Solutions Fund, has often zigged while others have zagged. The new fund is based on the premise that energy-transition private markets have become bifurcated, with abundant early-stage capital at one end, and substantial infrastructure capital at the other. Much of what has been labeled as "growth capital" flows to companies that are pre-revenue or early in commercialization (see, "G is for growth after $1 billion raise for Lukas Walton-backed S2G Investments"). S2G is instead looking for profitable operating companies ready to expand their operations. Such businesses already work commercially but are poorly suited to traditional venture or private equity structures. "Our focus at the Solutions Fund is really backing proven technology that can scale, that need $25 to $75 million," Rudberg says. "They don't fit in the venture category, and they don't fit in the buyout infrastructure category." At the same time, S2G is not a private equity buyout firm. "We're not looking to take control. In fact, that's something we sell to entrepreneurs." ANA Inc., a Nevada-based manufacturer of hybrid backup generators, for example, was generating more than $100 million in annual revenue but had never raised outside capital. "We were able to sit down and say, 'We can write a sizable check to help you scale and grow, given the market opportunity,'" Rudberg says. "That company has scaled significantly since we invested a couple of years ago because they're meeting the market demand, which they wouldn't necessarily been able to do without a partner like us to help them open up new markets, expand their manufacturing capacity, unlock debt capital that we were able to bring in, build out the team." Illusion of crowds. S2G is able to write such large checks because it can collect them itself. For years, Lukas Walton was the fund's sole LP. S2G spun out as an independent registered investment adviser in 2024 in order to raise money from outside investors. At $1 billion, the Solutions Fund was able to absorb institutional capital in a way that smaller impact funds are not.
