About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bac+5-level qualification in civil engineering, public works, VRD, networks, or infrastructure is ideally expected.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HTB substation studies.
  • Knowledge of RTE/ENEDIS regulatory frameworks, including DTR, PTF, connection and operating agreements, approval processes, and documentary requirements.
  • Experience with RPT/RPD interfaces.
  • A strong foundation in primary design of HTB substations, including single-line diagrams, layout plans, sections, electrical clearances, earthing, and HTB equipment.
  • Understanding of control-command systems, protection systems, and automation, including LPRO, CONT, UA, substation automation, cabinet diagrams, and coordination of protection, control, and testing.
  • Understanding of telecommunications architectures, including diagrams, fiber optics, bays, distribution frames, and telecontrol networks.
  • Ability to supervise VRD and civil engineering studies, including foundations, cable trenches, transformer/reactor platforms, and steel structures.
  • Ability to manage document revisions, nomenclature, traceability, and client comments.
  • Ability to ensure technical consistency and robustness of studies and the quality of deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders, adapt communication, seek consensus, and advance projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • English proficiency is an additional asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects by defining schedules, tracking budgets, coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and reporting to the client and project management.
  • Participate in and monitor technical design studies for HTB substations, including single-line diagrams, layout plans, earthing, HTB equipment, control-command, telecommunications, civil engineering, and VRD, ensuring overall technical consistency and integration across disciplines.
  • Manage connection-related interfaces by accounting for RTE and ENEDIS technical and regulatory requirements, tracking applicable agreements, and meeting associated documentation requirements.
  • Manage document quality by tracking technical deliverables, managing client comments and document revisions, and ensuring traceability of project changes.
  • Coordinate specialist internal or external contributors on telecommunications topics and coordinate civil engineering and VRD studies with specialist engineering firms.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including performance, telecontrol, protection, and compliance testing.
  • Experience with electrical network projects (HTA/HTB) or work for RTE.
