Cramer tips Honeywell Aerospace as overlooked winner after three-way split

Honeywell has completed its split into three separate public companies, with Honeywell Technologies retaining the HON ticker and Honeywell Aerospace beginning trading on 29 June. The advanced-materials operation became Solstice Advanced Materials in October 2025. CNBC's Jim Cramer views Honeywell Aerospace as an interesting long-term opportunity, comparing the breakup to General Electric's multi-year split. He suggests targeted companies can eventually achieve higher valuations than their parent conglomerates, though it may take several quarters for markets to recognise this value. Honeywell Technologies reported second-quarter sales of $5.2 billion, up 3% overall and 4% organically. Orders increased 16%, creating a backlog exceeding $20 billion. Building Automation revenues grew 9% on data centre and healthcare demand, whilst Industrial Automation sales rose 4%.

Honeywell loses 6% in process automation as Middle East tensions delay projects

Honeywell Technologies is experiencing weakness in its Process Automation and Technology segment, with organic revenues declining 6% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026. The decline stemmed from a 10% drop in aftermarket business organic sales due to lower refining catalyst shipments and project delays. Reduced customer demand in the Middle East amid ongoing geopolitical tensions further impacted results. The company expects the Middle East conflict to adversely affect the segment's sales by 1% in the second quarter. However, growing orders across petrochemical and refining verticals may drive long-term performance, with Process Technology segment orders increasing 11% year-over-year in the first quarter. Honeywell Technologies became a standalone public company on 29 June following the spin-off of its Aerospace Technologies business, completing a multi-year portfolio restructuring.
