Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the industrial, medical, and/or automotive markets in the electronic manufacturing services industry is required, with an understanding of customers' new product development processes and needs.

Responsibilities
  • Identify prospective customers and develop long-term relationships with new original equipment manufacturer customers in the medical, industrial, and automotive market segments, primarily focused on Europe with global electronic manufacturing services needs.
  • Attract long-term strategic customers through marketing activities and communication of the company's value proposition and profile.
  • Learn and understand the key capabilities of each company facility.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer relationship management tools and the business development process.
  • Manage prospecting, active accounts, strategy statement approval, plant visits, and request-for-quote processes.
  • Develop an understanding of the quote development process.
  • Begin prospecting to identify prospective customers and assume responsibility for existing prospective accounts.
  • Identify new active accounts, complete approved strategy statements and plant visits, and complete request-for-quote activities according to performance objectives.
  • Secure two to three new customers annually that meet facility revenue and margin requirements.
  • Identify and lead improvement processes within the business development processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with medical product development requirements and understanding of customers' FDA and NMPA registration and product development processes would be beneficial.
  • An engineering degree or other technical training is helpful but not required.
  • An entrepreneurial approach with the ability to resolve issues and provide creative solutions is helpful.

Kimball Electronics generates $42.4M cash flow, cuts debt to four-year low
