Responsibilities
  • Develop, articulate, and implement the strategic vision and plan for the Preemptive Health and Medicine Initiative, ensuring alignment with Flagship Pioneering's overarching goals.
  • Identify opportunities for new initiatives, partnerships, and investments that will advance the portfolio's mission and objectives.
  • Oversee and enhance operational processes, including Initiative’s business plan, objectives and key results, to ensure efficient execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Implement robust project management frameworks to track, measure, and report on the success of the various initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team dedicated to preemptive health projects.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that promotes continuous learning and excellence.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with academic, industry, and government stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners to drive collaborative projects and initiatives in the US and as part of global engagement team.
  • Develop and manage budgets for strategic initiatives, ensuring financial probity and resource optimization.
  • Work closely with the finance team to secure funding and manage financial risks associated with projects.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in preemptive health and medicines to ensure Flagship Pioneering remains at the cutting edge of scientific and technological advancements.
  • Coordinate research and development efforts to align with strategic priorities and market needs, in partnership with scientific leaders.
  • Regularly update the executive team on the progress, challenges, and opportunities related to the portfolio.
  • Ensure transparent and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
