Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and one year of relevant program experience are required.
  • Ability to perform job functions in upright, seated, walking/mobile, indoor, outdoor, and confined or cramped positions as required.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, pinch, use both hands and arms fully, perform repetitive hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder motions, reach in all directions, and perform frequent fine motor movements.
  • Good finger dexterity and ability to maintain tactile sensory functions are required.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull objects weighing up to 15 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to maintain corrected 20/40 vision, recognize objects at close and far distances, determine depth and spatial relationships, and maintain peripheral vision.
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment and screening of research participants, including developing advertising materials, meeting and calling potential participants, distributing advertising materials, and collaborating with relevant providers and researchers.
  • Obtain informed consent, enroll study participants, conduct study visits according to protocols, and provide educational information to subjects.
  • Assist with non-invasive brain stimulation sessions.
  • Conduct study visits before and after regular working hours when necessary to accommodate subject schedules and MRI availability.
  • Coordinate accurate data management and collection according to protocol and compliance requirements; maintain behavioral, diagnostic, electroencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and physiological data; and retrieve data from large databases for reporting and analysis.
  • Initiate and maintain accurate and comprehensive records required by the Food and Drug Administration, Institutional Review Board, sponsors, and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Schedule and participate in sponsor and Institutional Review Board monitoring visits to review study protocols and collected data.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings to review study progress.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, biology, engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in research is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience with electroencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, other physiological measures, transcranial magnetic stimulation, or other brain stimulation techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to use computer word and data processing programs including Microsoft Office, MATLAB, R, and SPSS is helpful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are important for promoting participant comfort during procedures and responding sensitively to potential distress.
