The purpose of this position is tooperate orbitrapExploris480 massspectrometerandparticipatein grant related research projects at theRCMI Proteomics Core facility. The projects require extensive knowledge of Mass Spectrometry Proteomics and related data analysis techniques, proteinchemistryand biochemistry. This position typically reports to theDirector ofRCMI Proteomics Core facility.
Under the supervision of theRCMI Proteomics CoreDirector, formally plans, executes the designated project (s) in the laboratory.Typicallyresponsible for performing non-supervisoryduties, butusuallyparticipatesin the training and supervision of the laboratory work of students.
Internal contacts includeinvestigatorsadministrators, faculty, staff and students both within the department/center and University-wide. External contacts include government agencies, scientific collaborators, vendors, visitors, and thegeneral public.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
PhD Degree in relatedfield(Biological Sciences/Chemistry, Biochemistry) and 5 years of related work experience.
