What believers are saying

  • mthree says it has helped 4,000 people start careers, signaling proven demand.
  • Client demand for cyber and AI skills rose after the June 2026 CAPSLOCK acquisition.
  • The merged group sells a fuller suite, unlocking public-sector, private-sector, and cross-selling wins.

What critics are saying

  • Integrating Peregrine and CAPSLOCK in 2026 strains delivery, culture, and cross-sell execution.
  • Staffing rivals and in-house academies compress pricing, especially in banking and technology by 2027.
  • If client conversion rates weaken, mthree's hire-train-deploy model loses placements and recurring revenue.

What makes mthree unique

  • mthree operates across 11 countries, pairing training with 12-24 month client deployments.
  • The January 2026 Peregrine merger broadens mthree from graduate hiring into consulting and reskilling.
  • CAPSLOCK adds immersive cyber, AI, and digital-resilience curricula inside mthree's workforce pipelines.

Mthree acquires CAPSLOCK to boost cybersecurity training capabilities

London-based training provider Mthree has acquired cybersecurity education firm CAPSLOCK to strengthen its capabilities in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and digital resilience training for finance, technology and public sector employers. Founded in 2019, CAPSLOCK has trained over 1,200 adults for cyber careers, working with organisations across financial services, telecoms, aerospace, defence, manufacturing and broadcasting sectors. Mthree CEO Alex Headley said cybersecurity and AI are workforce challenges as much as technology issues, noting employers cannot rely solely on hiring from a limited pool of experienced specialists. CAPSLOCK co-founder Lorna Armitage said joining Mthree provides a platform to expand their mission of removing barriers to cybersecurity careers as cyber and AI risks grow more complex.

Leumi ABL backs Mthree–Peregrine merger with £10M facility

Leumi ABL has provided a £10 million asset-based lending facility to support the merger of Mthree and Peregrine International Limited, both portfolio companies of UK private equity firm Inspirit Capital. The deal combines Mthree's private sector recruitment focus with Peregrine's public sector operations in the hire-train-deploy market. The merger aims to deliver increased scale, strengthen management and unlock cross-selling opportunities across both sectors. This marks Leumi ABL's third financing arrangement with Inspirit portfolio companies, following its backing of @Spaldings Ltd's acquisition in June 2023. The combined group operates across the UK and US. Inspirit Capital highlighted asset-based lending's flexibility and scalability for PE-backed businesses, whilst Leumi ABL emphasised its expertise in cross-border transactions and understanding of private equity requirements.
