Requirements
  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Three to five years of outside sales experience is required.
  • Experience in Total Quality Management and ISO 9000 is required.
  • Familiarity with finance for non-financial managers, strategic selling, and time management is required.

Responsibilities
  • Determine the pounds of products sold by TK Accelis Materials Plus consumed in the region.
  • Determine customer-buying motivators.
  • Develop competitor profiles.
  • Conduct SWOT analyses of TK Accelis Materials Plus against customer buying motivations and competitors' approaches to customer satisfaction.
  • Establish benchmarks for TK Accelis Materials Plus participation.
  • Develop a marketing plan for the region.
  • Profile transaction-level pricing and adjust TK Accelis Materials Plus pricing upward or downward as required to meet volume and profit objectives.
  • Determine advertising and marketing aid requirements.
  • Cascade the market plan down the territorial sales organization.
  • Develop a territorial sales plan for each sales area in coordination with territory sales personnel.
  • Develop customer profiles in coordination with sales personnel.
  • Capture competitive pricing data and compare TK Accelis Materials Plus pricing practices with competitive transaction levels.
  • Determine customer inventory requirements, submit N-item requests for item authorization, monitor E-item activity, and make adjustments as required.
  • Coordinate outside sales, inside sales, operating, and credit activities.
  • Establish and monitor goals and objectives for each salesperson.
  • Establish and monitor selling expense budgets for each salesperson.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with each salesperson.
  • Conduct bi-weekly sales meetings involving outside sales personnel.
  • Make sales calls on selected accounts with each salesperson.
  • Provide training for outside sales personnel as required.
  • Assist regional and corporate credit managers in improving receivables turnover.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of or progress toward a Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Metallurgy training and/or experience.
  • Leadership and team-building experience.
  • Training in strategic planning and motivation.
  • One to two years of operations experience.
  • One to two years of inside sales experience.
